Managing in the Second Trimester

The things again take a turn in the second trimester

The best days of pregnancy have come where you both can sigh with relief. She becomes physically healthier and the baby occupies more of her tummy. Mood swings are less and you actually see her smiling too. She remembers that you are a part of her life and dreams of her baby. She is more cordial to everybody else too.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

First of all again love her, cuddle her.

Now you can take a trip (non strenuous one and give all of you a break. It is safe to travel at this time. If she is being conscious of her body, remind her of her beauty in this. How she is a part of nature’s plans.

Time also to enroll yourselves in some antenatal classes.

Rub her back as this will trouble her for sometime. Take her for walks, leave her to office.

Don’t miss the chance to SEE YOUR baby during an ultrasound. If your partner has an amniocentesis or other procedure to test for genetic conditions, make sure you're there. And, of course, attend antenatal classes, and work through the breathing and relaxation exercises together.

START TALKING TO YOUR BABY It can actually hear you and feel your touch on its mama’s tummy. Connect with the baby. You may even feel its movements and it would amaze you the way the baby responds to you after coming out.

Do not indulge in alcohol or addictive substances with your wife. It may be harmful for your baby

Also lookout for any insurance schemes if there.
